Spaghetti & Homemade Tomato Sauce

Tomato sauce has a place in cuisines from all over the world.

Tomato sauce does wonders for the flavor of a plate of spaghetti or a slice of pizza, but the red sauce also provides essential nutrients, amazing flavor and offers you good economic value.


Ingredients

  • 1 red Bell Pepper, cut into small pieces
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 4 garlic cloves, chopped
  • Handful of fresh Basil, chopped
  • 10 medium size tomatoes, cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Himalayan Salt or Sea Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Majoram
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1/2 tablespoon Monk-fruit Sugar

Directions

1. Sauté onions in the olive oil until translucent.

2. Add the garlic and sauté until golden.

3. Add the tomatoes & bell pepper.

4. Bring to a boil. Turn down the heat and let simmer for about 10 minutes.

5. Add salt, sugar and all the spices.

6. Add the Basil at the end.

7. Pour over your favorite pasta and decorate with a little more fresh basil.

8. Sprinkle with Vegan Parmesan Cheese (optional).
