At first, Mama pig and her four precious little piglets live happily on a farm, but things take a sad turn when their farmer unexpectedly passes away. Suddenly they’re taken to a factory farm, and what happens next is truly heart-wrenching.

It’s a fictional tale, but it reflects the real-life struggles animals face every day. By sharing their story, we hope to raise awareness and make a difference.
This booklet is one of my ways of uncovering the horrific crimes committed against animals and making people aware of the unimaginable brutalities toward helpless, innocent, sentient souls and getting the reader to wake up.
“Once Upon A Time There Was A Mama Pig” is a beautifully illustrated booklet by Daniela Clapp that begins with the joyous life of a mother pig and her four adorable piglets. As the tale unfolds, it takes an unexpected turn, shining a light on the realities for the individuals stuck within the modern factory farming system. Amidst the stark realities, the story blossoms into a beacon of hope, encouraging us to envision a kinder, more compassionate world for all. ‘Once Upon a Time…’ is not just a story; it’s a powerful and inspiring call to action for the next generation.

This thought provoking story shines a light on the realities of factory farming and hopefully will raise awareness about how each and every animal is a unique and individual being deserving of love and kindness. Poignantly illustrated with meaningful content, this is a must read for everyone who still needs to make the connection between the food we eat and where it comes from. The book courageously tackles a difficult subject with heartfelt language and an inspiring narrative. It serves as a reminder for us to look inside our hearts and reconsider the choices we are making, and how those choices ultimately affect the animals we share this world with.
